A Vision for Nourishment

Blessings and Greetings to All my Fellow Holistic Journeyers! I’m bringing to you lots of love and light today in these changing times. There are so many things to share in this time and I’m happy to assist you.There has been a slow food movement for some time and it’s helped start some trends towards a more conscious way of living. Now that life is forcing many of us to slow down, we are getting a deeper look into how we can nourish at the root in our own lives. With the worldwide community going inward, this is an opport-unity to reevaluate our lives and where we are at.

Are you living your values? Are you leading your best life? Are you following your passions and dreams? What do you want to create? We just had a new moon on March 24th, and this is a time to set intentions for the next month. While we can feel fear, and I know change is hard, focus on what you are creating and what you want to bring in. (See my last e-newsletter/blog for the message regarding fear.) Write down your intentions, and then see and feel into that vision. A vision I have for each of us is to be healthy and well during this time. As each of us is faced with knowing we need to be vigilant with our health, let’s continue the conversation about how to boost your immunity. My work is always about healing the gut and boosting the immune system. In Chinese Medicine we talk about digestion being the basis for good health.

Digestion begins in the mind, as well as in the mouth. Two powerful things that you can begin doing now to assist digestion is to be intentional with your food. Having a ritual where you thank your food before you eat, and then enjoy it without distractions will allow your body to assimilate the nutrients. Sharing a meal with others is good if you have someone to share with, but do not discuss stressful topics at the table. Be sure and set this ground rule before the meal so that everyone can agree to it and you don’t have to figure out how to navigate your way out of it.

Secondly, chew your food. We want to really enjoy each bite: taste the flavors, and enjoy the textures. This focus will assist you to not stress eat later. I know many people are doing a lot of emotional eating at this time. It’s okay if you are or have been. What’s important is to get back to enjoying the food and seeing it as nourishment. This will begin the shift away from this.We want to emotionally nourish ourselves during this time too. One terrific tool is journaling. We are amidst history in the making and it’s important to find ways to balance the mind. Writing out your fears, your dreams, and everything in between, while continuing to reflect is powerful. When we put pen to paper, it often gets the nagging thoughts out of our head.

As I keep saying, connect with nature as well. Every day try and spend some time outside and get your hands on the earth or on a tree. Using essential oils at this time is also very supportive. Lemon is helpful for grounding, lavender or peace for calming and sleep, as well as orange or citrus bliss to feel happy and know that there is good in life.

I did one on March 26th about how we all are interconnected and I have a beautiful metaphor to guide you with this knowing. I will continue to post important messages for you to assist during our shifting. I am hopeful that this will allow you to heal and grow into new ways of becoming. We are all in the cocoon and will transform.

I have many services that I provide by phone or on Zoom. For those of you out of work or with reduced work hours, I have a sliding scale available for you. In this I do energy healing to move patterns out of your body that no longer serve you. We get to the root of your limiting beliefs, generational patterns, and clearing out things that happened in your formative years. When the blocks are cleared, you can make the changes to create a life that is one you truly desire.This is very effective at clearing out anxiety, fear, as well as other physical issues and symptoms, and you don’t have to talk about all the old wounds at length to shift.
