Spring Energetics 2021
Welcome to Spring!! We made it through the darkest days of the year, and are coming into days with longer and longer daylight! The flowers are blooming, the trees are budding and greening, the feeling of energy rises and seems to be telling all of us to grow!
We may have noticed since this new moon that came in Sunday evening there have been new energies. Some of this energy is an impetus to grow and can be triggering. While triggers are an invitation to look at something deeper in order to heal, they certainly don’t feel good. The pain in fact, can be excruciating, and if you’ve been around people who are pushing these buttons, it’s important to allow yourself space and time alone, to feel this pain, and breath. Sitting with this and feeling it is important so we don’t have stuck emotions in the body. You’ll want to process this later with your coach or counselor, and journal about what is coming up to help you release more too.
The spring is governed by the organs of the liver and gallbladder, and their corresponding emotions of anger, frustration and resentment. We don’t want this energy to stay stuck within us. Underlying these emotions is always sadness, and maybe for you the initial feeling is of fear or anxiety, coming up to help you see what needs healed. However this looks for you, these are opportunities to allow something that is held within you to be released, and to dissolve. Old beliefs and patterns from childhood are wanting to be let go of, as well as ancestral patterns that are stuck in our body. Doing this inner work of letting go is what I refer to as shadow work. See my Ancestral Alchemy Journey or my Transmute to Transform course below if you’d like to have me as your coach to alchemize and shift these patterns.
Recently I was triggered for three days in a row. The last time, it was emotionally excruciating. I had to sit and breath, cry, until I could calm down. Later in the middle of the night I awoke briefly and noticed some breast pain. The next day I had to really massage into the breast tissue, and it was quite painful releasing these liver points (under the breasts). However, it felt like a really needed and good release equally. The liver meridian runs under the breasts, so any emotional blockage can impede the flow of energy in this area. Notice that we hold our emotions often in our chest. I continued to work this area for several days after that, as there was a lot of stuck energy and the acupoints were very tender, asking to be released daily with acupressure and vigorous massage. This is very important for all women to do, so we don’t develop hardened lumps in the breasts.(Please check out my Breast Health blog below for more on how to care for your breasts, what to do if you have lumpy breasts, are worried about cancer, or have had a lump/cancer scare like I have.)
As the yang (active) energy rises with the spring, we will have to ground ourselves to balance these emotions that may want to erupt up and through us. To ground, go outside daily and put your hands and feet in the grass, on a tree or on the dirt. Smell nature. Get moving the body in nature with an activity that is joyful for you. Touch the plants at the park, or in your yard. We can get so much healing from simply being and connecting to plants and nature.
Spring Blessings of Growth and Radiance,
Tanya
